According to Newsweek and CNN, 1 in 100 children will be affected by autism this year. While the cause of autism is still unknown, there are many resources available for children and adults with autism as well as parents and caregivers.
INDATA is providing a free training on assistive technology and autism on November 19 from 9am-3:30pm at Easter Seals Crossroads. This training will feature professionals from Easter Seals Crossroads who specialize in autism services, assistive technology and augmentative communication. This one day event will allow people the opportunity to ask questions and get their hands on assistive technology that might benefit people with autism.
A tour of the Autism Family Resource Center and INDATA Loan Library will conclude the event.
