ATIA Webinar Series

Don’t miss the next two webinars in the ATIA 2010 Webinar Series on:

  • Explore over 25 iPad, iTouch, and iPhone applications that can benefit individuals with disabilities
  • Learn appropriate practices and opportunities for considering and incorporating AT in the IEP  – including discussions on IDEA misconceptions, realities, mandates, and funding sources

Join us on Thursday, Sept. 16th for  Therese Willkommen’s discussion of applications available on the iPad, iTouch and iPhone organized by functional limitations. These will include communication apps, voice recognition apps, apps for vision and hearing impairments, organizational apps, fidget apps, creativity apps for limited fine motor, and memory aids.

And later in the month, on Sept. 28th, Amy Goldman from the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University will address the IDEA stipulations for assistive technology and how to make sure students with disabilities obtain the services and supports they need.  This discussion will include how other funding sources may be used – or not used – to assure access to AT for your students.
