Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.
There are many people who are hard or hearing and as people age, the likelihood of hearing loss increases. As people lose their hearing maintaining independence is important. Some rely on hearing aids to better hear all kinds of things including telephone conversations. However, there are many different types of cell phones and finding one that is hearing aid compatible can sometimes be a challenge. The Better Hearing Institute is a non-profit organization that maintains a list of hearing aid compatible cell phones on the internet. Check our show notes for a link.
