Show Notes
Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.
Staying in touch with news and other timely information is important for everyone. However, sometimes reading a newspaper or magazine is difficult due to difficulty with vision, learning disability or physically handling paper. For many years there have been radio reading or audio information services that read the news and other timely information to subscribers. Generally these recordings are broadcast over a special radio or sometimes via a dial in telephone service or an web page. Check our show notes for a listing of stations to determine if there is a service like this in your area.
