Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.
RESNA, or the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America, has been working to promote the field of assistive technology since 1979. This professional association offers a number of benefits including certification, education and professional development, and creating a forum for people interested in assistive technology to share information, opinions and ideas. Their annual conference is a main-stay for many people who want to stay up-to-date on the industry’s information and developments. Check out RESNA.org for to learn more.
