Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs!

If you have a loved one with dementia, you probably already know how challenging it may be to connect with him or her. Now there is an iPad App called “GreyMatters,” which aims to help people connect to their loved ones with dementia. According to its website, the app is described as an “interactive life storybook, paired with music and games”–all designed to help patients and families preserve yesterday’s memories, as well as share today’s joyful moments.

The app is available for free download on iTunes, and also offers some in-app purchases. To learn more, visit iTunes or go to GreyMattersToUs.com.
