Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs!

It’s no secret around here that we at the INDATA Project love robots. After all, they all have so much potential for helping individuals with special needs. BUDDY is no exception! BUDDY is a companion robot that has recently been funded on Indiegogo. It’s noted to be “the first social robot that connects, protects, and interacts with each member of your family.”

What all can BUDDY do?
– He can be your personal assistant
– Patrol your home while your away
– Be a hands-free helper
– Be an educational playmate for your children
– and much much more!

Another major feature that sets BUDDY apart from other available robots is that he is a modular platform that can be infinitely built upon and expanded with accessories to make your daily life easier.
