The Indiana State Fair is in full swing, running now through August 18. To make sure people of all abilities have fun, the Indiana Farmers Coliseum offers several services in accordance with ADA standards at the fairgrounds.
Assisted Listening Devices (ALD)
Headsets and receivers connected to the Coliseum’s ADA-approved ALD audio system are available for free at the Coliseum Box Office. But a driver’s license or state-issued ID is required.
Accessible Seating
Available on all levels of the Coliseum, these seats can be purchased through Ticketmaster and the Coliseum Box Office. If you have any questions regarding accessible seating or specifications of a particular location, the Box Office can answer them at 317-927-7601.
Hearing / Visual Impaired Seating
These seats are available in person at the Coliseum Box Office, or they can be purchased through Ticketmaster. This seating may be reserved up to 10 business days prior to the date of an event or until sold out — whichever comes first. Attendees can request ASL interpreters for performances a minimum of 10 business days prior to the date of the event.
Service Animal Policy
Trained service animals are permitted inside the Coliseum, but they must remain on a leash or harness at all times and rest in the seating area of the attendee with a disability. Service animals may not use additional, adjacent seats unless their owner purchases tickets for them.
INDATA and AgrAbility Bring AT
As part of its partnership with Indiana AgrAbility, INDATA will be at the AgrAbility booth in the Coliseum to provide demonstrations of assistive farm equipment. Examples of AT devices for farmers with disabilities include remote control animal gate openers, tractors with lift seats, and cordless drills for making holes and planting seeds — to name just a few.
From accessibility accommodations to AT demonstrations, people with disabilities will be well represented at this year’s State Fair.
