Fittingly named, Math Window® opens up opportunities for blind and visually impaired students to better understand the language of numbers and shapes.
Each Math Window® kit includes a board with magnetic tiles that combine Braille and large print so the student and teacher can work together. Students can store the tiles along the perimeter of the board — or on the optional attachable tile pallet.
The work surface of the board is conveniently sized to fit the student’s desk and can be easily carried to and from class. A handy carrying tote comes with each kit.
Users can easily build and change math problems with the movable Braille tiles. As a teacher, Lisa, says to her student, Gia, in this video: “You’re just easily feeling that Braille, and that’s how you know how to [solve problems], right? So, you wouldn’t need anyone else to do this problem for you, would you?”
“No way!” Gia says enthusiastically.
