Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs!

For individuals with dexterity issues, holding up a standard coffee mug with one hand can be very difficult if not impossible. Granny Jo Products offers a line of products to help individuals maintain their independence. One such product is their “Dignity Mug.” The Mug’s unique 2 extra-large handles design allows for multiple grip positions. With this unique design, the user can either grasp the outside of both handles, slide their fingers through both openings, or grip the body of the mug directly.

The Mug is available in several different sizes, colors and materials such as:
– Standard white ceramic
– Hand painted ceramic
– Earthenware which features playful spots around the lip
– The Stoneware Mug, handcrafted in Massachusetts.
– The Acrylic Two-Handled Glass (the only one not microwave-safe!)
