There are approximately 48 million individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing in the United States. If you’re looking to practice American Sign Language (ASL), there’s now a Snapchat lens for that!
The new ASL Alphabet Lens teaches users how to fingerspell their name and practice the ASL alphabet. Users can also play games to test their signing skills.
The new lens was made in partnership with SignAll, which designs AI technology for sign language translation. Here’s more information about SignAll:
SignAll is a group of passionate developers and designers dedicated to finding game-changing solutions that enable spontaneous communication between the Deaf and hearing.
You can use the lens on Android and iOS devices by either scanning the snapcode (below) or looking for “ASL Alphabet” in the Lens Explorer.
