Easter Seals Crossroads Autism Resource Center is a center where families of kids with Autism can receive support services. The center is located on the 3rd floor of the Easter Seals Crossroads building at 4740 Kingsway Drive Indianapolis, IN 46205. This center is open to the public on Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm. They have extended hours on Wednesday’s until 6pm. The center is available outside of the scheduled hours by appointment. To make an appointment after hours, please call 317.479.3231.
The resource center has a library with Autism books and video resources. They provide free access to the Internet and have software that allows users to create personalized visual schedules. They also provide a Grandparents’ Support Group and a Parent’s Support Group on a monthly basis in the evenings.
The Autism Resource Center is currently having a toy drive. They are looking for toys for children between the ages of 6 months and 18 years old for their waiting area and to be used during therapy sessions.
Some examples of toys they are in need of are:
Board games
Puzzles
Developmental Toys
Legos
Wii games or accessories
Books
DVD movies
Dolls and doll clothes
Cars or trucks (all sizes)
Play food and play kitchen items
Larger toys such as cars and indoor play sets
If you have any toys you would like to donate to the Autism Resource Center, you can drop them off at the Easter Seals Crossroads main lobby. There is a drop box inside the front door at the south building entrance.
